Yesterday we went to Yucaipa Regional Park for the first time. I had no idea it had a big swimming area. They have two fun looking water slides that unfortunately Cam is too short for, but he enjoyed splashing around the "beach".

As is typical, we spent as much time wandering around and exploring as we did in the water...

What do you mean you don't remember there being a swimming area? That's ALL I remember about that Park. Didn't you go there on school field trips? I haven't been there since a kid - I remember really liking it. How close is it to you? Do you think you'll make it a new regular spot?
There he is--wandering around in NATURE...just what kids need!! Kudos to both you & Susan for getting your kids out in nature so much. I'm always interested to read about all the benefits that has for children.
Susan, seeing as it is $5 to get into the park and then another $3 to swim, I'm not sure it will be too regular...
Kelly-
I am always impressed with your frugality. You should do a post on things you think are overpriced!
Mama mia, yeah that's an Occasional One I guess - it'd be fun to meet up with people and take picnic lunches and swim for a good chunk - to get your money's worth! I remember going on the little boats on a field trip - that was fun.
