barbie

Today Kendall and I went to Target. While we were browsing the toys, I saw this Barbie doll. Really, Barbie? You think when Kendall is older and asks for a Barbie doll, you'll be the one I reach for? Hey, Kendall, here is your first Barbie. And look! The neckline goes down to her belly button!

Things like this make me sooooo very sad for little girls growing up. I think I'll write the manufacturer & (respectfully) express my disgust. We're the consumers. We're the ones they want to please. Is it Mattel? Do you remember the name of this Barbie?

And that's why Barbie will never be welcome in our home. Blech. =(

Barbie is a tough sell today moms are not fans and they now try to sell to the tween set and collectors. My neice is 8 and asked for the twilight collection of dolls along with lots of other twilight related items. I am a collector so I have some newer ones..... and thanks to Nick playing commercials durring the early morning shows my daughter has a barbie ballerina at 2.5yrs old. Just be aware that there are worse dolls such as bratz and a few other new ones.

I am definitely an anti-barbie person. Nice boobs Barbie.

I am happy she is brown though! I think every white family should have a few non-white dolls.
