Yesterday our friends, Jeremy and Ana, came out for the day with their kids. While Jeremy and Chris went golfing, we took the kids to the park and hung out at home.

The kids were excited to see a little snow left on the ground at the park in Oak Glen.



After the kids had rested/napped, we made these. They were pretty good, but I'm only going to give them a 7. While the cakey donut matched the cakey brownie, it wasn't my cup of tea because it wasn't dense enough, nor rich enough. But they were still fun to make and would definitely be a conversation piece if you brought them somewhere!

Looks like something Paula Dean would make, huh?


After the guys returned, we got our traditional Carne Asada Fries for dinner before they left for home. Overall a VERY fun day!
